The embroidery pieces present views of downtown Toronto around Kensington Market and are based on photographs. They are the representation of the city from the personal artistic perspective. After living here for several years, I do not consider myself a foreigner or a Torontonian. These city views are part of everyday life as I become part of the city. Not originally from Toronto, the sense of belonging exists. It is a place that is strange but familiar; far but close.
